Welcome to Coffee Online!

Welcome to Coffee Online! Here I would love to offer you a trip to Guatemala, where you can pick your own beans by hand from the rich volcanic ash, but I just don’t have that kind of budget. Instead, I will to offer a few tips on how to create the best pot of coffee to kick off my welcome to our site.

Grind your own: If you love coffee and want only the best, then I would recommend that you only purchase whole coffee beans. Then when you are ready to make a pot or even a cup of coffee, you only need to grind what you need. This will keep the flavor and aroma in your coffee beans.

The Slayer Espresso Machine

The Slayer Espresso Machine is something I recently heard about on an episode of Bizarre Foods.  This amazing machine sells for an upwards of $20,000 but is supposed to be an amazing machine in the coffee making world. Slayer is a powerful Industrial Craft-built machine with virtually endless steam capacity plus brew temperature stability on [...]

Finland Drinks the Most Coffee in the World?

I found this video on youtube today about coffee health benefits and statistics. I think it is really interesting because it talks about the effects that coffee has on the body. Now, one thing I thought was interesting was the statistics on who drinks the most coffee! The video states Finland is in first place [...]

Van Houtte Apple Caramel Pie Coffee Review

Recently while at Bed Bath & Beyond, my husband purchased a box of Van Houtte Apple Caramel Pie Coffee for me to try. He is very sweet like that and loves to surprise me with little gifts and thoughtful things. I am quite the lucky girl. So, I received the box of apple pie flavored [...]

Caribou Obsidian Coffee Review

So for about the last three months I have been drinking Caribou Obsidian coffee everyday. Yes, every single day. Too Late to be Drinking Coffee?

It is Monday, and because of that I need to add a little humor to my life.  I don’t feel like working, I’d much rather be at home… drinking coffee in a snuggy, so I decided to cruise Youtube.  To think of it, I do a lot of Youtube cruising on Mondays, it seems. So, [...]

Do You Love Dunkin Donuts Coffee This Much?

Coffee Talk – Portlandia Style

I love the indie show, Portlandia! It takes all the funny hipster culture nuances to a new extreme. Poking fun at things like: eating local, being well-read, and always making sure to go green. Taking these “green” ways of life to an exaggerated psychotic level.  Things that can get quite annoying if they pressed upon [...]

Reviews of the World’s Most Expensive Coffee – Kopi Luwak

I have blogged on Kopi Luwak coffee in the past.  It is basically coffee that has been digested by the Asian Palm Civet animal, and then excreted.  After it has been passed from the animal, the coffee is harvested from the Civet’s feces.  Yes, this is coffee that is harvested from poop. You may be [...]

How to Throw a Fun & Delicious Coffee Tasting Party!

One morning as I was sipping my morning latte I was thinking of a fun”themed party” idea.  I’ve thrown many wine tasting parties in the past and also tea parties, but why not a coffee tasting party?  Often times my friends and I will meet at the local coffee house to chat and relax, so [...]

Tips for Creating the Perfect Cup:

Storage is important: Whatever you decide to do, whether you keep coffee beans or simply buy ground coffee, how you store it will greatly affect the end result. Use air tight containers and never store your coffee where there are sharp aromas from other foods. The coffee will pick up the taste of the aroma, making it bitter, and you do not want a breakfast onion blend. Also, keep your coffee in a cool place. Many people use the fridge but it doesn’t have to be refrigerated.

The machine: You will want to have a high quality machine to brew your coffee. See our article on what to look for in a coffee maker to learn more.

The water: I have seen people really play around with the water that they use for their coffee. Some people only use the finest spring water available, others use a generic bottled water and others are just fine with tap water. All of them work and the only important element to creating a good cup of coffee is in the temperature you use. You might think that you need to use hot water to make your coffee but, the fact is, you should use cold water. For every degree colder, the water will have more oxygen. The more oxygen, the better the coffee.

And there are some tips to help you brew the best cup of coffee. For more tips and advice, please feel free to browse our site.
