My Stance On Flavored Coffee Drinks

It seems that everywhere I turn these days, I’m bombarded with Peppermint (and Pumpkin, and Eggnog, and Gingerbread) Mochas. What’s next–Latkes Lattes?

Seriously, though, I tried my first ever Peppermint Mocha at Peet’s last week, and I have to say I enjoyed it far more than a regular mocha. Not sure if any credit can be given to the soy milk I requested, but the P.M. wasn’t as sticky-sweet as I usually find mochas to be.

Of course, I’m not sure if I’ll ever get up the nerve to try the Pumpkin or Eggnog flavors. And I’ve already decided there’s no need to try the Gingerbread, what with this find.

While some coffee purists may not regard these holiday inspired drinks as true coffee, for me, they represent a small way to celebrate the holidays while enjoying a cup of joe.
