Coffee Machine

The days of having one or two coffee machines to choose from are over; today’s coffee lover has a multitude of coffee makers to choose from, from the most simple machines to complex coffee and espresso machines that do everything except shop for the coffee beans.

For many years the electric drip coffee maker and the pour over coffee maker have been the most popular coffee machines. These are simple to use coffee makers that can be purchases with different features but basically do the same thing – brew a pot of coffee.

In recent years a new type of coffee maker has emerged that makes a single cup of coffee. There are variations on them; some use a special coffee pod while others use a coffee-filled cup that is disposed of after the brew cycle.

These one-cup makers allow users to have a fresh brewed cup of coffee every time and any time they want one without the need to brew more coffee than they will drink. This also allows for a wide variety of coffees to be made in a short period of time. For instance, if one guest wants an herbal tea and one wants a dark roast coffee there are products for these single serve coffee machines that will make these in a matter of minutes. Everyone can have his or her individual choice of beverages.

Single serve coffee makers can be money saving machines in the end due to coffee not being wasted. There are many gallons of coffee poured down the drains of households every year simply due to one or two cups being left behind in the pot. Single serve coffee makers eliminate this while at the same time making it easy to enjoy a hot cup of coffee anytime without wasting half a pot.

These machines have become popular in offices where clients enjoy having fresh coffee and the staff has to insure that the coffee is always ready. Sometimes it is impossible to know how long the coffee has been sitting, so it winds up thrown out, and a new pot made. With a single serve brewer clients can be assured they are getting the freshest cup of coffee and can even choose from a large variety of flavors if the company chooses to stock them.

Single serve coffee machines also eliminate clean up as there is simply no mess. Some machines feature a disposal system that takes the used pod and places it in a waste receptacle. The ones that don’t have this feature require little more than tossing the used pod or disposable cup in the trash after the coffee is made. Either the water for these machines can be manually added or the machine can be plumbed to a water source.

Coffee machines continue to evolve with more features and options being added to bring the coffee lover the best cup of coffee possible. Technology is making it easier than ever to get the perfect cup of hot java in a very short time period without ever leaving home.
