Coffee connoisseurs know that ultimately all they need is a coffee maker and a quality coffee bean to make an excellent cup of coffee. However, they also know that there are many coffee accessories that are useful when it comes to making and serving the perfect cup of coffee.
A coffee grinder is an essential accessory for the coffee lover. This machine allows the homeowner to purchase whole coffee beans and grind them to their preference. Grinders are available in many different sizes and with options that allow the individual to set what grind they want. There are also coffee makers with built-in grinders that can be purchased.
Cup warmers are another coffee accessory that is not a necessity but is a much-appreciated nicety. These warmers keep the cups warm and ready for fresh hot coffee. Using a pre-warmed cup for coffee keeps it hot longer. There are coffee and espresso makers that have built-in cup warmers.

New storage methods include the vacuum seal that literally removes the air from the container to keep the beans as fresh as possible.
Milk frothers are essential to making cappuccinos. These can be purchased without purchasing a cappuccino maker and as stand-alone units. If a cappuccino maker is purchased the frother should be considered a necessary part of the machine.
Coffee carafes for keeping coffee warm while serving it are another nice coffee accessory that makes a great gift. These are available in stainless steel, porcelain and insulated heavy-duty plastics. They are available with or without manual pumps for serving the coffee.
Coffee filters that are washable are also great accessories to have. These filters cut down on paper waste and the added cost of purchasing coffee filters every week. The downside is that they have to be washed after each use.
Coffee mugs and cups are essential accessories. However, there are many designs and styles to choose from, some of which are not necessary but are fun to have when serving certain types of coffee drinks. For example, cappuccino mugs and espresso cups are not necessary for drinking the beverages from but they do add a nice touch and help to complete the experience.
Coffee flavorings, creamers and sugars are the ultimate finishing touch to the list of coffee accessories that make the coffee connoisseur’s kitchen a dream come true. These add a special touch to the coffee and turn it into a relaxing, flavorful start of the day indulgence.
